Mr. Musafia's note: Edgar has worked hard in recent years to present himself as the next generation (following "the aging generation").  He has formed, together with his partner Giorgio Grisales, an elegant shop in the center of town.  There he makes fine examples of what continues to keep Cremona on the map.  Most of his instruments are antiqued in a style which intentionally looks somewhat less "finished" -- a style that makes his antiquing quite convincing.   He heavily promotes himself world-wide.

Curriculum Vitae: Edgar E. Russ received his diploma in 1989 from the Scuola Internazionale di Liuteria, under the guidance of Riccardo Bergonzi in Cremona Italy. Edgar opened his own workshop in 1990 in Cremona. Prior to his own shop, he worked with Giorgio Grisales in Cremona. Edgar is 32 years old, is married and the proud father of two girls, Nina Zoe (three years old), and Anna Joy (less than a year). He is a Member of ALI. (C.V. provided by the maker).
