Maker's Name: Luca Salvadori

Place of Birth: Poggio Rusco, Italy

Date of Birth: 1962

Workshop location: Persichello, Province of Cremona

Education: Graduate of the Cremona School, 1982

Mr. Musafia's note: Few makers in the world can compete with Luca.  While that is my somewhat biased opinion, it was also the opinion of the judges at the 2000 V.S.A. (Violin Society of America) competition in Cincinnati -- Luca received a silver medal for violin (no gold medals were awarded).   Luca makes consistently great sounding instruments which are generally finished in a non-antiqued style.  The occasional antiqued instrument that Luca makes looks great too.
