Mr. Musafia's note: Robert antiques his instruments in a manner that I find irresistible.  I liked his instrument from Exhibition 2000 so much that I bought it for myself!  By-and-by, however, I'll probably be convinced to put it in Exhibition 2001 -- (if the Exhibitors have their way)!  Robert is a fine maker in the Cremonese tradition, his workmanship is laudable and is antiquing is to be imitated

Curriculum Vitae: Robert Gasser was born in Sion, Switzerland on the 4th of April 1958. He made his first instrument at 13 years old, and after his studies he came to Cremona in 1975. He went t the International School of Violinmaking in Cremona, graduaing in 1979. After having worked in various workshops he decided, because of his many contacts with musicians, to follow the art of the construction of violins, violas, cellos, and basses.
